If you don’t think you have any need for a digital agency, you may be interested to read this. According to the BBC, £33 billion was spent by UK consumers online in 2009. And you can hardly blame them: the internet has opened the doors to convenient shopping for anything from food to computers from the comfort of our own homes. Still, £33 billion’s an impressive amount. What’s your company doing to earn itself a piece of that pie.

The whole globe’s going digital. Online is the new high street. The good news is the massive opportunity that online retail is offering to businesses. This is never truer than for smaller companies which might be lacking in presence on the high street. The internet makes everyone equal. Or at least, there’s definitely the potential for everyone to be. Ask your digital agency, it’s true! All of this means that even the smallest of companies can reach new clients as long as they have a decent digital strategy.

Unfortunately, too many smaller companies have fallen into the trap of neglecting their digital strategy. At this point it is worth mentioning that owning a website does not constitute a digital strategy. Where’s the point in paying for hosting for a website that’s impossible to find, hard to use and never updated?

For smaller companies in particular, the investment in a digital agency can seem huge. But it’s always worth investing in a good digital agency, because the return on your investment is only ever limited to demand for whatever goods or services you sell.

Allowing a digital agency to manage your online presence can seem daunting. However, consider your digital strategy as a well-oiled machine with many components like web design, web development, SEO, e-mail marketing, PPC and copy-writing, amongst others. When just one of these cogs stops working, the whole machine could stall. trying to find an individual to manage each cog of the machine in-house would cost you a lot in terms of time and money, and might not even work anyway. But your digital agency can manage all of this under one roof. If just one company could build you a user-friendly website that’s as attractive to the human eye as it is the Google robots that scan it then provide you with the tools to keep it updated easily and then improve the site’s visibility and that of your brand using their web marketing expertise, you’d jump at the chance to hire them, wouldn’t you? That’s why you need a digital agency.
