Because many people lack accurate information about how the search engines work, quite a few myths about SEO persist. What happens is that people have mistaken ideas and then repeat them to others, causing these myths to spread quickly. Let’s take a look at some of the most harmful of these myths so the next time you hear them you’ll know better. This myths were discover in a great system that you have to do, see all info in my Review of Online Income Flood post description.
The notion that you have to build a page on your website that is specifically built for SEO in order to rank well is a myth that is often repeated. Any page can rank well in the search engines, as long as you know what you’re doing. In other words, you don’t need a landing page that is specifically made for SEO. If you are working with pay per click it’s a different situation, as landing pages are necessary in that case, but they are not needed for organic search engine optimization. Don’t worry about building a special landing page for visitors, simply have them land on your site’s home page or another important page. If you have pages that don’t get much traffic, focus on improving them instead of creating new pages. This is a fairly straightforward principle if you understand that landing pages are only to help you convert your traffic.
When optimizing your site for the search engines you need to be aware of another myth which is that you will end up being banned if you don’t follow Google’s guidelines. The main reason is because most of Google’s regulations for webmasters are simply common sense. You are not obligated to read them if you know you are not doing anything wrong. You need to avoid doing anything that the search engines might consider spam or an attempt to game the system, also known as cheating. However, it is wise to read through these guidelines every once in a while because they are always being updated and it will help increase your knowledge. I have prepared a great training about SEO in my Online Income Flood of Steven Johnson and Steven James section, go to my page and find out.
The fact that your site will be banned if you buy links to your site from other relevant websites is another myth. Despite the fact that Google doesn’t like anyone buying links or trying to influence the rank of their site in any way, they often don’t know the links are paid for because otherwise they wouldn’t count. And even if somehow they do come to know that these are paid links, they would simply ignore them. It doesn’t make sense for them to ban a site completely just because it advertised its link on other websites. Remember that the exact same regulations for building links are applicable, even when you are purchasing links. So whether you’re buying links or not, always get links from sites that are relevant.
While there is no one answer for search engine optimization there are practices that have been perfected by others that you can implement. The final answer in search engine optimization is research, both the practices of others and how the search engines operate.
